Plainfield, IN- As we are close to entering the start of 2016 in just a few days, with no explanation needed we all know what January brings for our racing community. None other than the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals. 2016 marks the 30th annual running of the Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire held at the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, OK.

Chad Boespflug is pleased to announce he will return to the seat of the RAB Racing 57B for the third consecutive year. Boespflug has become quite comfortable in the Bill Ecker owned midget at the Chili Bowl. The pair along with the help of the RAB Racing Team have made the A-main through qualifying heats the past two years on their preliminary nights. In addition they have earned a starting spot in the C-Main both years starting one position higher in 2015 than 2014. In both years Boespflug passed cars in the C-Main, but failed to transfer on to the next event in Saturday night competition.

For those of you that are not as familiar with the Chili Bowl format making the C-Main lineup for Saturday's event through accumulated points earned your preliminary night is a feat in itself. With over 330 midget entries not having to run "alphabet soup" as we call it on Saturday is something to be proud of. Being able to start as far forward on Saturday is always the goal, but earning a starting position in at least the C-Main guarantees you the opportunity to race in one of the largest live television broadcasts year to date on MAVTV.

Boespflug heads into this years Chili Bowl with the same expectations as years past, make the A on his preliminary night, and earn as many points possible to be sitting well going into Saturday's show. His preliminary race night is still to be determined. Practice will be held Monday January 11th with preliminary events Tuesday through Friday January 12th - 15th, followed by the $10,000 to win main event Saturday January 16th.
