In the past five years Boespflug has made the Kokomo Smackdown Finale AMain each year finishing a career best 2nd place in 2016. Boespflug and the HAR Team will kick the action packed week off Wednesday August 23rd during the #GYATK Fan Appreciation Night. For those of you who don't know GYATK stands for "Get Your Ass to Kokomo", a household slogan in the Indiana racing scene. Kokomo Speedway promoters the O'Connor Family want everyone to do just that GYATK Wednesday for the FREE Admission Fan Appreciation night of racing to let Fan's get a taste of what is to come in the following three nights of USAC competition.

All four nights will be compiled of the best non wing sprint car drivers in Indiana. Boespflug will use Wednesday as a test and tune session to make sure the HAR Mean Green Cleaner and Degreaser 69 Maxim is dialed in right out of the gate Thursday. Kokomo Smackdown format is a little different from that of a standard USAC National event. Points from all events Thursday and Friday will be tallied and lock the top 8 into the King of the Hill Challenge Saturday, all others will have to race their way into the AMain through qualifying events. The goal is to make the King of the Hill match races Saturday for a shot to race your way to the best of the top 8 starting positions before being eliminated.

Be sure to stop by the Chad Boespflug Merchandise Trailer located across from the main grandstand entrance throughout the week to pick up a Special Edition CB Kokomo Smackdown Shirt. Fans will have a chance to meet and greet Chad during scheduled Autograph Sessions each day. In addition to the autograph sessions the Mean Green Cleaner and Degreaser Corn Hole Challenge will be setup for a chance for FANS to Win FREE Mean Green Products.

Boespflug will return to the seat of the Phoenix, Arizona based John Grau #34 Maxim Chassis for all four 360 non wing sprint car events. Chad Boespflug Collected Multiple Podium Finishes for HAR to Round Out Indiana Sprint Week

Plainfield, IN Thursday July 20th 2017 - The 30th Annual AMSOIL USAC Indiana Sprint Week has was stretched out over the course of 10 days of grueling heat, tornado warnings, and heavy rains to name a few hurdles. Trying is an understatement when describing what ISW was to not just Hoffman Auto Racing, but to all teams who competed in the 7 race mini series. ISW brings out the best of the best from coast to coast in non wing sprint car competition. Some teams travel thousands of miles to compete in Indiana, the hot bed of non wing sprint car racing. Fortunate for Chad Boespflug and the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner and Degreaser 69 Team they are based out of Indianapolis and are just a short tow from track to track. However, what started out to be a well designed travel schedule compiled of venues across the state quickly turned a bit more hectic with added seat time, in the tow rig that is, to bounce back and forth to hit the venues that were postponed due to rain. With that came no "days off" as those were quickly filled with makeup races. Not only did the team's schedules go from busy to really busy with the increased travel, the fans who support the mini series were forced to make new arrangements as well. The loyalty of the fan base that ISW has was shown even more this year with near capacity crowds and parking lots filled with cars and campers as far as you could see.

With car counts hovering around 40 the racing each night was at the highest level of competition that most teams will face all year. Unfortunately Boespflug and the HAR Team struggled to find their groove the first two nights of the series finishing 15th at Kokomo Speedway and 19th at Lawrenceburg Speedway after taking a provisional. The team rebounded to a 4th place finish at Gas City Speedway followed by 2nd at Bloomington Speedway, and an 8th place finish at Tri-State Speedway. Boespflug would cap the week off on a high for HAR with another podium finish at Lincoln Park Speedway. finishing 3rd. Although Boespflug and the HAR team pulled it together with two podiums and a fourth late in the week it was not enough to regain the points lost early in the week and finished 7th in overall ISW points.

"What a long trying week for not only myself but the team, we rebounded well after a couple of bad nights. Thank you to the Hoffman Auto Racing Team for their continued hard work. I believe this was one of the hardest Indiana Sprint Weeks I have ever been apart of with the extended days dues to rain outs. Thank you USAC for giving us a great event to be apart of and to showcase our sport to tens of thousands of fans." Chad Boespflug

Boespflug and HAR will take advantage of the downtime in the USAC National schedule to rebuild motors and maintenance before the series heads west to Kansas and Missouri the last week of July. During the week off Boespflug will travel to California to race once again for Dwight Cheney at Perris Auto Speedway Saturday July 22nd.

Chad Boespflug Scores No Way Out 40 Win for Hoffman Auto Racing

Plainfield, IN - While adding a No Way Out 40 Win to his credit Chad Boespflug also added a notable win to Hoffman Auto Racing's already impressive stats. Saturday in addition to a complete MSCS event Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN hosted the No Way Out 40 makeup feature that had been postponed due to rain in the spring.  Track promoters decided to completely reset to the original starting lineup that was set in March rather than picking up on lap 8 where the feature was called due to rain. The complete restart saw Boespflug starting 4th in the 40 lap AMain. Boespflug jumped out to the early race lead passing both Brady Short and Jeff Bland Jr. before the completion of lap #1. Boespflug held off a hard charging Short leading all 40 laps to take the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner and Degreaser 69 to victory lane. The 9th Annual No Way Out 40 was Boespflug first career win at Brownstown Speedway.

Coming straight off of a feature win the celebration period was short lived as the team had to switch focus to the full MSCS program that followed. Boespflug timed 3rd quick earning him a front row starting position for MSCS heat race competition where he would finish 2nd. The feature inversion saw Boespflug starting inside the second row for the 30 lap MSCS AMain. Falling back early after moving to the top to try something other than the following each other around the bottom as the track surface changed Boespflug slipped back to 8th. Lap after lap Boespflug searched the track for the faster line. Running to top he was able to gain momentum to gain one more spot and finish 7th before the checkers flew.

"We have been struggling so being able to put 40 good laps together and capitalize and win is great for this Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner and Degreaser Team. It is pretty cool to add my name to the list of No Way Out 40 winners. I owe a thank you to the team behind me and all of the supporting partners for their support. We have been tried over the past month so this win is huge, it definitely makes all or the late nights at the shop worth it." - Chad Boespflug

A Trying USAC Eastern Storm for the Hoffman Auto Racing Team

Plainfield, IN - An AMSOIL USAC Eastern Storm that Chad Boespflug and the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner and Degreaser 69 Team are less than proud of has come to an close. The conclusion of the 5 day stint in Central Pennsylvania couldn't come soon enough for the HAR Team. A week filled with ups and downs and extreme heat was very trying on the team. Amidst the lows of the week Boespflug did qualify in the top 10 4 out of the 5 nights and scored a top 5 and two top 10 finishes at Lincoln Speedway and Susquehanna Speedway. The final night of Eastern Storm was one of the better nights overall for Boespflug and the team qualifying well, winning the heat race, and adding another top 10 finish to the week.

The team has made their way back to the Indianapolis based shop where they have taken time to wash, maintenance, and regroup for the rescheduled USAC Tony Hulman Classic at the Terre Haute Action Track this Friday. Saturday the team will return to Brownstown Speedway for another makeup event that was shortened in the spring due to rain. The No Way Out 40 feature will be made up in conjunction with a full MSCS program.

A Podium Finish for Boespflug During USAC's Return to Knoxville

Plainfield, IN - As the USAC National Series headed west of Indiana for the first time in 2017 the first stop was I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska Friday. A strong field of traveling cars, some west coast regulars, and a few locals filled the field in the Corn Husker state. A 6th place qualifying run followed by advancement through the heat race Chad Boespflug put the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner 69 into the show. The feature inversion was in Boespflug's favor as he would set the pace from the pole position. The invert may have fell to his advantage, but as he fought a tight race car right from the start Boespflug was unable to capitalized on the good starting position and began to fall back early. Unable to recover the lost ground Boespflug finished 12th in the AMain.

Entering Saturday with the attitude "today is a new day" is just what Boespflug and the HAR team did. A fresh start and a new game plan was set as Boespflug would make his first career start at the historic Knoxville Raceway located in the Sprint Car Capitol of the World, Knoxville, Iowa. He laid a lap down quick enough to hold on for 4th quick in ProSource Qualifying out of 35 strong competitors. Advancing through heat race competition straight into the AMain passing his way from 6th to 3rd Boespflug found himself once again in the feature invert. Boespflug and Crew Chief Davey Jones made the changes needed to keep the Mean Green 69 up front for all 30 laps. Starting and finishing 3rd Boespflug earned another USAC National podium finish in the series' first return to Knoxville Raceway since 2011.

"Another podium finish is just what this team needed. We have been in a slump as the results have shown over the past few races. Struggling to capitalized when it matters most, in the mains. Saturday's 3rd place finish at Knoxville was a great way to bounce back after finishing outside of the top 10 again at I-80 Friday. I look forward to hopefully traveling back to both I-80 and Knoxville with USAC next year. Now as we move forward into our "busy season" we need to regain that consistency as a team. We will race a few local races during Indiana Midget Week starting with Lincoln Park Speedway to work out any more kinks in our program before we travel east for 5 nights in Pennsylvania." - Chad Boespflug

On to the River Town Showdown

Plainfield, IN - Eldora Speedway's #LetsRaceTwo weekend was less than favorable to Chad Boespflug and the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner Team. Each night started off with a decent qualifying run timing 6th and 5th quick in ProSource Qualifying. Followed by advancement in heat race competition transferring into the AMain straight from the heats each night. However the tables turned when it came time for the AMain each night Boespflug and Crew Chief Davey Jones struggled to find the right setup and it showed on the racetrack. A 17th and 11th place finish was not what the team wanted to see as they came into the Eldora two day weekend failing to finish outside of the top 4 in USAC National competition. Although falling back in both feature events are not the results Boespflug or the HAR Team planned or hoped for they were still able to leave the weekend 2nd in overall Amsoil USAC National points.

The team will start fresh this weekend as they travel to two new tracks for Boespflug as the series heads just a few hours west for the #RivertownShowdown. The USAC double header will make its first stop just outside of St. Louis at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL. The teams will then travel south of St. Louis to I-55 Raceway to try their hand at the 1/3 mile high banked oval.

"We struggled all weekend as the track changed we chased it. Not the results I wanted at a track we had much success at early last season, but that's part of it. We were just off in the features each night and it showed in our results. With this weekend behind us we keep our head up and move forward. I am looking forward to traveling to Illinois and Missouri this weekend to two new tracks for me. I am thankful that the USAC National schedule this season has added more travel dates and new venues. Being able to travel and race in front of new crowds is what our series needs. The addition of PPV this weekend is huge as well as we know not everyone can travel when we leave Indiana so it gives those fans the opportunity to watch live thanks to SpeedShiftTV's partnership with USAC."- Chad Boespflug

Another USAC Podium for Boespflug and the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Team

Plainfield, IN - Chad Boespflug and the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner 69 Team traveled to northern Indiana for the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car Series debut at Plymouth Speedway Friday. A track Boespflug has competed at only twice in his career, but does have a win to his credit at the 3/8 mile track. A rough technical track was an obstacle that everyone had to overcome throughout the night.

The surface was tricky and the racing grooves were unpredictable, but that made is quite exciting for the fans to watch especially during ProSource Qualifying. Boespflug laid down a lap that would earn him the 2nd position, out qualifying 25 others. A strong qualifying effort that was just a few tenths off fast qualifier Chase Stockon. The traditional USAC inversion placed Boespflug outside the third row of heat race #2. Boespflug used the entire race track to his advantage to pick off as many cars as he could before a late race restart in the heat. The restart allowed Boespflug to seal the deal and take the heat race lead from veteran Dave Darland and score the heat race win. The feature inversion saw Boespflug starting 5th in the 30 lap AMain. Boespflug settled in to 2nd early and began to track down race leader Justin Grant who had stretched his lead to over a straightaway before Boespflug made his way into 2nd. Boespflug gained on Grant as he struggled to get through lap traffic as the racing surface saw three wide racing action throughout the nonstop feature. He used that to his advantage as he reeled him in. Boespflug showed Grant a nose with 5 laps remaining, but then he was held up by a lap car and was forced to leave the bottom where he had gained most of his speed in turn one and two. Grant was able to pull away and hard charging Tyler Courtney passed Boespflug with 2 laps to go. Finishing 3rd Boespflug added another podium finish and tightened the Amsoil USAC points. Boespflug and the HAR Team has yet to finish outside of the top 4 in Amsoil USAC competition.

"We had a bleeder issue that I think cost us a little, but still another strong night for us as a team. The hard work behind the scenes and the consistency at the track has us right where we need to be on the track to earning HAR another championship." -Chad Boespflug

Boespflug is now just one point behind Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car points leader Justin Grant. The series will be back in action Mother's Day Weekend for the Lets Race Two event at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH. Boespflug hopes to duplicate last years Lets Race Two appearance where he earned his first career Eldora Speedway Win when he returns to Amsoil USAC National competition May 12th & 13th.

Boespflug Earns First Bloomington Speedway Win while scoring Hoffman Auto Racing's 102nd USAC National Win

Plainfield, IN - Chad Boespflug and the Hoffman Auto Racing Mean Green Cleaner 69 Team traveled to southern Indiana for two days of Amsoil USAC National racing. The famed red clay of Bloomington Speedway and the paperclip tight Tri-State Speedway played host to the best in non wing sprint car drivers in the country Friday and Saturday. Strong fields of over 30 cars entered both nights of competition.

The red clay of Bloomington Speedway has defeated Boespflug more often than not, so a mid pack qualifying lap of 13th quick was about standard for him. However on Friday that mid pack qualifying lap would earn him a front row starting position for the 30 lap AMain after transferring through Heat Race #1. On a typical night against the USAC National drivers 13th qualifying spot rarely earns your those honors, but Friday the odds were in favor of Boespflug. Starting second outside veteran Dave Darland Boespflug quickly took the lead and held it over Darland and Chris Windom through halfway. A restart on lap 22 saw the lead slip away from Boespflug and into the reigns of Windom. As the elbows went up inside the cockpit of the HAR 69 so did Boespflug's line on the track. He chose to run the high line as Windom settled in on the bottom. The hunt was on with 5 laps remaining in the AMain. Boespflug on the top and Windom on the bottom the duo raced side by side wheel to wheel. A similar sight from last falls Jim Hurtubise Classic at THAT except slide jobs was not the name of the game Friday instead the pair would race side by side in more of a drag race still coming within inches of each other, but never making contact. As the white flag fell Boespflug took the lead over Windom to gain that edge he needed to hold him off and earn his first Bloomington Career feature win and HAR their 102nd USAC National win.

"Wow, what a battle. Windom raced me clean and hard, but never raced me dirty, and I respect him for that. Being able to finally win a race here is pretty cool and to do it in the HAR Mean Green Cleaner 69 is even cooler. This place has eluded me for so long, heck almost ten years of racing in Indiana. To get a USAC win as my first here against this tough field of cars is pretty special." - Chad Boespflug

Following the win and celebration Boespflug and the HAR Team headed even further south to Tri-State Speedway, yet another track that has been less than a favorite for Boespflug. They traded in the red clay for the black tricky paperclip surrounded by cornfields in Haubstadt, IN. A better qualifying lap of 6th quick placed Boespflug in the 5th starting position in Heat Race #2 leaving him one spot outside of a transfer position as they threw the green. A great start for Boespflug and huge momentum made it possible for him to race his way into the 2nd position at the conclusion of lap 1. Boespflug tracked down heat race leader Chris Gentry, a Haubstadt local, before the checkered fell to pick up the heat win. Once again Boespflug found himself on the front row for the 30 lap AMain following the inversion. Boespflug grabbed the early race lead, but quickly found himself in what seemed like a deja vu battle with that orange #5 of Chris Windom once again. After being passed he continued to show Windom a nose lap and lap again, but it was just not enough to regain the lead as the duo that has recently been named the "Chad and Chris Show" by USAC swapped positions on the podium for night two in southern Indiana. Boespflug has yet to finish outside of the top 4 in Amsoil USAC National Competition and he kept that consistency going finished 2nd to Windom.

"Tonight it was Windom's turn, he and Derek have been fast lately, but to be even on the podium at Haubstadt is like a win for me as I have struggled here time and time again. Heck the whole podium has. I think this is a taste of what fans have to look forward to this year. Windom and I have had many close races, but it seems to be becoming a nightly thing. This year is going to be tough like I said before he and Derek have that thing figured out and are in the hunt every night." - Boespflug reflects after his second podium finish of the weekend.

Boespflug will follow the Amsoil USAC National tour as they head to northern Indiana this weekend with Plymouth Friday and Montpelier Saturday.

A Podium Finish for Boespflug at "The Burg"

Plainfield, IN - After struggling to find speed during numerous events at Lawrenceburg Speedway Chad Boespflug scored his first podium finish with the Amsoil USAC National Series at "The Burg" Saturday. A track where Boespflug holds a track championship has eluded him the past few seasons. The test session Boespflug and the Hoffman Auto Racing Team had just a few weeks ago was just what he and his team needed to gain the confidence and skills needed to earn a podium position. A field of 35 Amsoil USAC National cars was on hand Saturday to fight for 1 of 22 starting positions in the AMain.

Boespflug was 9th quick in ProSource Qualifying before advancing one position from 4th to 3rd in Heat Race #1 earning him a transfer position into the AMain. The field inverted the top 6 starting positions of the highest 6 qualifiers who transferred through a heat race. This placed Boespflug on the pole for the 30 lap AMain. The initial start saw Boespflug take the early race lead over Chris Windom before being stopped due to a red flag before completing a lap. The second start did not go as smoothly as the first and Windom won the drag race into turn one. Boespflug attempted the slide Windom multiple times throughout the race to regain the lead, but came up short finishing 2nd to Windom. Boespflug has not finished outside of the top 5 in Amsoil USAC National events in 2017 with two seconds and a fourth.

"I fought some throttle issues as the race went on, having to pickup the pedal, so naturally my focus shifted when I should have solely been concentrating on tracking down Windom I had other things to deal with. However this is the strongest I have ran at The Burg in a few years. I wish we would have finished one spot higher on the podium, but a 2nd place finish at a track I haven't had the best results at is still a strong finish for us as a team. Consistency is what we lacked last season and this year we are headed in the right direction with two seconds and a fourth in the first three races." - Chad Boespflug

Tentatively Boespflug will return to California Saturday to race the Cheney Racing #42 at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA in USAC/CRA competition, weather permitting.
