A Pair of Top 10's for Chad Boespflug

Lebanon, IN- Chad Boespflug kicked off the USAC race Friday at Bloomington Speedway by breaking his existing track record. A lap that would hold up for 2nd quick overall in Fatheads Eyewear Qualifying. After transferring through his heat to the AMain Boespflug started 5th after the invert. Track position was key with the top being the better line early in the race and he fell back to 7th before moving to the top. As the race proceeded he attempted to battle through heavy lap traffic, but was unable to advance before the checkers flew.

Saturday with the threat of rain and wet grounds Tri State Speedway was forced to postpone the USAC/MSCS event until June. Boespflug and EZR capitalized on the rain out and made the decision to use the local race at Lawrenceburg Speedway as a test and tune for the upcoming USAC National race this weekend.

Boespflug made mention - "This is the best I've felt at The Burg in years. We needed to be a bit better, but I am looking forward to the upcoming weekend."

Chad Boespflug Rises to the Top at Kokomo

Lebanon, IN - Kokomo Speedway can be described as the Indiana Bullring that separates the men from the boys. But for Chad Boespflug its more of a love v.s. hate type of description. A track which had eluded him since his campaign in non wing sprint cars began in Indiana in 2006 had a love relationship with the California native Friday during the Kokomo Grand Prix where he "Parked It" in BC Victory Lane for the first time in his career. A flawless night saw Boespflug sweeping qualifying, heat race, and feature competition before pulling the EZR #98e MAXIM into Victory Lane.

"I've come so close so many times even finishing runner up in the Kokomo Smackdown, but never had enough to get a win. Kokomo is a track that is tough to race and to win at any given night no matter the track conditions. I'm excited to not only get my first career win here, but to pickup the first win of the season for Chuck and Fred of EZR and the 98e Team. This is a big confidence boost for us a Team heading into the heart of the USAC National season." -Chad Boespflug

Coming off the win Boespflug took advantage of the USAC off weekend to get some seat time in his own wing sprint car with the FAST Series in Ohio where he finished 16th.

"The goal for the wing car is to get seat time and make laps. Making the main is always what you shoot for but to make good consistent laps while learning is what is important to be fast. We will try and fill in with wing races as the USAC National schedule allows. That was the plan in 2018 as well, but mother nature had other plans instead. I feel the skills needed to race a wing sprint car help advance me as a driver in the non wing car as well. I am eager to get back at it with the AMSOIL USAC National Series Friday and Saturday in Southern Indiana in the EZR 98e." - Boespflug reflected on this past weekends performance at Atomic Speedway.

Chad Boespflug and EZR Reveal their 2019 AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car to debut at Bubba Raceway Park

Lebanon, IN - The AMSOIL USAC Winter Dirt Games and the USAC National Sprint Car Season Opener lurks around the corner. The series will return to Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida February 14th - 16th for the series' 10th appearance to the 3/8 mile dirt oval. Chad Boespflug will make his 5th trip to Bubba to begin 2019 in the Eberhardt Zirzow Racing #98e MAXIM Chassis.

Boespflug commented on the newly designed MAXIM chassis that dawns a new look with familiar names and the addition of some new ones as well. - "It's hard to think we are going on almost 5 years of partnership and friendship with both Marty Howard of Howard Law and Bob and Barb Fox of FOX Paving. Over the past few seasons our relationships have grown to more than just supporting partners, they are now part of our racing family. It takes a lot to make all of the pieces of the puzzle align to hit the road to start each year. A huge part of that is continuing to build relationships with existing partners while acquiring additional ones. Without loyal supporters of myself and my racing en devours like Howard Law and FOX Paving we would not be able to necessarily make trips like Florida possible, and I am thankful for the opportunity to return to Bubba Raceway Park for the 5th consecutive year."

In years prior Boespflug has shown consistent speed with results to match at Bubba Raceway Park. Coming off a podium finish in Boespflug's last visit to Bubba he looks to debut the EZR 98e with familiar speed as they start the season next week. Howard Law will return as the primary supporting partner for Winter Dirt Games with the addition of FOX Paving. Chad Boespflug also welcomes Hergott Real Estate Group and KJM Trucking to their campaign for 2019 and would like to thank all continued supporting partner for their loyalty and commitment to helping build a successful team.

Chad Boespflug to Join Eberhardt Zirzow Racing

Lebanon, IN - Relationships often rekindle after spending time apart, the same goes in racing. After spending time apart Chad Boespflug and Eberhardt Zirzow Racing have come together again and we are pleased to announce that for the 2019 Season Boespflug will drive the EZR #98e non wing sprint car.

"It's great to be back with Chad, we had an incredible year in 2016, with some major wins. In 2017 that same success was hard to find, so we went our separate ways. 2018 brought change for EZR with Kyle Cummins as our driver, with an up and down year. We were forced to part way at the end of the season due to Kyle's work schedule. Chuck Eberhardt, Co Owner of EZR, and I would like to thank Kyle and his family for a fun year. We felt it was no better time to team back up with Chad than now. We at EZR are extremely happy to be able to go back home to a fit where we felt everything worked as one before. We have learned from our time apart, but feel we benefit each other and are confident we can once again find the chemistry that leads to results on the track. We are hopeful we can take our success from 2016 and just turn the 6 around to a 9 and strike success again." - Fred Zirzow, Co Owner of EZR, expressed about the decision to race Boespflug full time in 2019.

"I'm excited to race with EZR this season. Joining efforts with them again as in 2016 really takes a lot of burden off of my shoulders. Things went sour in 2017 and I am very fortunate to be back with them this year. We are still searching to find a Crew Chief to complete our team for the 2019 season." - Chad Boespflug

EZR will begin the 2019 Season at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL during the USAC Winter Dirt Games in February. Following their trip south EZR plans to race USAC National Sprint Car Events and select other races this year. A full schedule of events will be released at a later date. Follow Chad Boespflug Racing via social media outlets to stay up to date throughout the season.

"Our goal is to race for wins and not focus on points. We look forward to starting fresh in Florida." - Fred Zirzow

For Immediate Release

Plainfield, IN -  For Immediate Release Chad Boespflug to park the NineEight Motorsports 98 for the remainder of USAC Indiana Sprint Week.

“2016 was a dream season in my personally owned car, we had a great team and accomplished a lot. 2017 was a season of great opportunity, but it just didn’t ever come together as I had hoped, the team fell apart and made for a long season. Before the start of the 2018 season I wasn’t sure what direction I was going to go and at the last minute I decided to try and do the entire USAC Amsoil Sprint Car tour on my own. The season started out great, but since the start of May it has been very difficult.

Racing at the National level is tough and takes all the right pieces to do it right, from the equipment to the team.
Between the unforeseen motor problems this year and the lack of funds to hire full time dedicated/qualified help I have decided to seek out ride opportunities. We are already working hard on our plans for the 2019 season and will only be racing the 98 at select events for the remainder of the season.

With that said I will be finishing Indiana Sprint Week in the Pottorff 11P. I am extremely thankful and excited to continue to drive for Cam Pottorff and Don Short. Thank you to all of my great fans that continue to support me as well as all of the great sponsors.” -

Boespflug Prepares for the Toughest Week on the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Schedule - Indiana Sprint Week

Plainfield, IN - Arguably the most grueling week for USAC National Sprint Car Teams is upon us in the height of the Indiana summer heat. Seven races in nine nights across the state of Indiana comprises the toughest week on the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Schedule, Indiana Sprint Week presented by NOS Energy Drink. Friday will kick off ISW at a venue that will hosts it's inaugural ISW event, Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, IN. As the series returns to Plymouth for the second time in 2018 the stakes are set even higher than in the spring as not only are they battling for the win, but for the coveted ISW Champion Title. Following the series lull in sprint car action Chad Boespflug has prepared and continues to fine tune things this week as he sets to begin the seven intense nights of racing that will see non wing drivers from across the country flock to Indiana for the next nine days.

Listen as Boespflug sat down with WISH-TV 8 Sport Anchor Meghan McKeown to chat about the what Indiana Sprint Week means to a driver, owner, and fan: https://www.facebook.com/usacracing/videos/1854498157905947/

AMSOIL USAC River Town Showdown Presented by BRANDT

Plainfield, IN - Lets Race Two has presented less than the desired results for Chad Boespflug since picking up his first career Eldora Speedway Win in the inaugural event in 2016. This two day show hosted on one of the largest stages in sprint car racing has been a struggle for Boespflug in the most recent visit to the "Big E". Night 1 saw a top 5 qualifying run before trailing backwards in the feature event. A setup mistake cost Boespflug and his NineEight Motorsports Team a potential top 10 finish. Night 2 showed consistency, but not the results Boespflug wanted. The NineEight Motorsports #98 ran mid pack most of the race finishing 12th in the AMain.

A new week and a pair of new venues for Boespflug as the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series heads west for the "River Town Showdown" presented by BRANDT. The series is set to debut at a pair of tracks bordering the Mississippi River this Friday and Saturday. Friday will mark the return appearance to the state of Illinois for USAC, a state the series has not visited in over a decade, at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL.  Teams will then travel south about an hour where they will visit I-55 Federated Auto Raceway in Pevely, MO Saturday. The two day River Town Showdown will be a fresh start for Boespflug and his team as they enter the weekend on level playing fields as their fellow national competitors have not visited either facility in a non wing sprint car. The River Town Showdown can be viewed LIVE via PPV as SpeedShiftTV will provide coverage.
