Plainfield, IN- With the 2015 Season winding down and the conclusion of the non wing sprint car season in the Midwest your only option to continue to race is to pack your bags and head West. That is just what 27 year old California native, Chad Boespflug, plans to do. In just a few short weeks Chad will pack his bags and head west for a two week stint on the West Coast with the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car Tour.
This is the third consecutive year Chad has the opportunity to finish out his season on the west coast. A trip to some that is just a hope and a dream due to lack of financial backing to make the long haul from Indiana or even to find a local west coast car owner with an open seat.
Chad is pleased to announce he will pilot the Gerry Cook owned 04G for the final six Amsoil USAC National races of 2015. The pair will first compete in the 20th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals held at Perris Auto Speedway (PAS) in Perris, CA. A now three day event with a record purse of over $130,000. All three days will host a complete program with the Oval Nationals finale Saturday paying $25,000 to the winner. Following the three day stint in California Chad and the Gerry Cook Racing Team will travel to Tucson, AZ for the 48th running of the Western World Championship. This years Western World will be held at USA Raceway in Tucson, AZ, and event formally held at Canyon Speedway Park. Chad has competed in the Western World on numerous occasions, but when it was held at Canyon. Chad has competed at USA Raceway, but it has been a few years since he last was there.
"I am looking forward to heading west once again. Any time I get the change to race back in Cali I jump on the opportunity. It might only be a few times a year but I'm glad I am able to go back to PAS for Ovals again this year. I'm excited to go to USA for Westerns this year. I've had success at Canyon at Westerns in years past and hope to carry that over to USA this year as well. I have to thank Gerry for the opportunity to even be able to compete in these final Amsoil USAC shows. Without him and the help of some additional sponsorship this west coast swing would not have been possible for me." -Chad Boespflug
