Plainfield, IN- A busy weekend for Chad Boespflug in the SST Motorsports 41 was cut short by mother nature. The team had all intentions to race three nights in a row before the rain fell. Friday Bloomington Speedway was one of few tracks across the midwest that was able to get in a complete show without being washed out.
A field of 22 sprint cars were on hand at Bloomington. Three heat races were assembled heads up from qualifying times obtained in one of three hot lap groups, a procedure the track has added to their local sprint car events. Boespflug timed 5th quick in group three placing him in the 5th starting position for a 10 lap heat race. He started and finished in the 5th position. Boespflug and the SST Team went to work making some changes to get the car better for the AMain. No inversion for the AMain put him starting 15th in the 25 lap feature event. A strong performance in the feature after making some changes to the 41 between races earned the team's first top 10 finish of the season, finishing 7th. Boespflug will return to the SST Motorsports 41 May 14th and 15th.
Boespflug will return to the NineEight Motorsports / EZR 98e for the Mother of All Sprint Car Weekends at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH. A two day event featuring the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Cars and Craftsman World of Outlaw Sprint Cars. Boespflug will enter this weekends competition 10th in USAC National points standings.
